Antonio Brito, Jr. (HW), Chris Catalano (MW) & Jamie Dutra (LW) Victorious

Braintree, Ma (November 10, 2014) – Round four of F1 Boston’s Fall Frenzy League took place last Monday with another evening of great race action. Each of the League’s six rounds starts with a qualifying session, followed by two 30-lap heats and a 40-lap final. The winners were Antonio Brito, Jr. (HW), Chris Catalano (MW) and Jamie Dutra (LW).

Here are the highlights:

Antonio Brito, Jr. grabbed the victory in heavyweight, his second win this season, with 40 points earned by winning the first and final bookending a third place result in the middle heat, plus two fast lap bonus points – with 198 he also leads in the season-long standings. Ron Leduc was next, taking second in the final two heats and fourth in heat #1 plus a fast lap to earn 33 points. With 171 points, LeDuc is also second for the season. Shaun Abbate was third with 28 points highlighted by winning heat #2 and placing third in the final – he’s third for the season as well with 154. Harry Parker was next with 24 points fueled by taking second in heat #1 and fourth in heat #2 – at 130, he’s fourth in the standings as well. Alan Morrison rounds out the top five in both the season standings (113 points) and in round 4 (22 points) highlighted by third in heat #1 and fifth in the others.

In middleweight, Chris Catalano landed his second consecutive victory by winning the first and final heats and fourth in the middle heat for a 36-point total. With 132 points, he’s atop the leader board for the season. Mark Morin grabbed second with 32 points fueled by placing second in the final two heats and fourth in heat #1 – he’s tied with Peter Sigourney for third in the standings at 124. John Hintze was third, earning 27 points highlighted by placing second in heat #1 and third in the final plus a fast lap. Hintze is fifth in the points chase with 72. Sigourney was next with 24 points featuring a win in the middle heat and fifth in heat #1. David Burton landed fifth with 21 points fueled by third in heat #1 and fourth in the final – he’s second in the standings with 125 points.

In Lightweight, Jamie Dutra won his second round in a row, scoring 42 points by winning the final two heats and grabbing second in heat #1 plus two fast lap bonus points. The win gives Dutra a 123-point total in the first four rounds, putting him in third place. Jay Hanscom took second with 34 points by winning the first heat, grabbing second in the final, plus fourth in heat #2 – he’s also second for the season with 132 points, just two points off leader Rodrigo Dias. Scoring 24 points, Dias was next by taking third in heat #1, fourth in the final and fifth in the middle heat. Donald Zowatsky earned 21 points and fourth place highlighted by finishing third in the final and fifth in heat #1 plus a fast lap – he’s fourth for the season with 82 points. Kevin Berquist was fifth with 20 points highlighted by a second place result in heat #2. Patrick Curtin (18 points in the round) is fifth for the season with 80 points.

Round 5 will take place on Monday, November 17th.
