F1 Boston’s Summer Adult Outdoor League
Round One Report
East Bridgewater, MA (June 19, 2012) – The first round of F1 Boston’s Adult Outdoor League at F1 Outdoors is in the books and we’re off to another great season. The Adult Outdoor League features 6 rounds of racing in two weight divisions with each round consisting of a practice session and 3 12-lap heats. The drivers’ best 5 rounds will count towards qualifying for a season-ending Championship Race. Here’s a round up of the action:
            In the heavyweight division Mark Morin took first place in the round with 36 points powered by winning the first heat, placing third in the middle heat and second in the final. Mark Keene was second – he placed fourth in heat #1, second and third in the others plus to fast lap bonus points for a total score of 32. John Hintze grabbed third finishing third, fourth and fifth in the heats for 27 points. David Roger was fourth with 26 points highlighted by winning the middle heat and placing fourth in the final. Gregory Cusato was fifth fueled by a victory in the final heat.
            Marco Brunicardi was first in the lightweight division, powered by winning the first two heats and earning 32 points. Jacob Scott placed second with 30 points earned by winning the final heat and placing fourth in the first two. Third place went to John Cope – his round featured third place finishes in the first and final heats plus fast lap point for 25. Steve Maka was fourth with 24 points, featuring a second in the first heat and third in the middle heat. Nicholas Leung rounded out the top five with 22 points highlighted by taking second in heat #2.
