F1 Boston Kicks-Off the 2012 Fall Frenzy Adult League
John Chetwynd (HW) & David Rodger (LW) Prevail in Round 1
Braintree, Ma (September 29, 2012) – F1 Boston kicked off the Fall Frenzy Adult League race season last Monday with great competition and fast racing. Each of the League’s six rounds starts with a qualifying
Heavyweight division winner John Chetwynd got better each time he hit the track – placing fourth in the first heat, second in the heat #2 then grabbing victory in the final, plus a fast lap to take home 35 points. Second place went to Ronald LeDuc with 29 points powered by taking second in the first heat, fifth in the middle session and third in the final, plus a fast lap. Just a point back in third was David Burton highlighted by taking third in heat #1 and second in the final. With 27 points, Mike Provencher took fourth, winning the first heat and grabbing fourth in the final. Rounding out the fast 5 was David Olbrych with 22 points that featured a victory in heat #2.
In Lightweight, David Rodger had a strong round – winning the first and second heats and placing fourth in the final to take home 36 points. There was a tie for second at 33 between Alex Faust and Peter Sigourney. Faust took the checkered flag in the final, grabbed second in heat one, fifth in the middle race plus a fast lap, while Sigourney placed third in the first and the final, second in heat #2, and a fast lap. Fred Fawcett was fourth powered by placing third in heat #2 and second in the final to earn 25 points. Fifth place went to Jacob Scott with 23 points highlighted by placing fourth in the two qualifiers and fifth in the final, plus a
fast lap.
