F1 Boston Fall Junior League Concludes with Championship Finale
 
Braintree, Mass (December 21, 2011) – F1 Boston wrapped up the 2011 Fall Junior League last weekend with the Championship Finals. A total of 45 racers competed across eight classes. Each event featured two qualifiers and a main event to crown the Champs.   Seeding for the first qualifier was determined by the season-long points total and the second reversed the order. The combined result of the two heats determined the grid for the main event. Here are some highlights from the action:
     In 1A Elite, the top two racers ran away from the pack. Season points leader Austin Dowler took the honors winning the main event from the pole, while Dexter Czuba landed second, just 2.079 seconds off the mark. Nicholas Lascuola outdueled Derek Creutz for third place by a slim margin of 0.276 seconds.
     Class 1A featured another close finish for the title with series leader Kevin Manning taking the victory over Nikolia Gabardi by only 0.457 seconds – both racers were almost 5 seconds clear of the pack. Christian Rogers earned the final podium spot, besting Evan Phillips by just 0.291 seconds.
     Class 1B, Jake Yazijian earned the victory by a margin of was 2.918 seconds –Yazijian also shared the series title with Jacob Beauchesne. Second place went to Luke Marcheski, with Dimitri Berardi taking third 1.877 seconds back. Class 1B’s Kendra Levesque earned the series’ Good Sportsmanship Award.
     In the highly competitive 2A Elite class, Matt Stearns took first place to compliment his third place finish in the season statndings. Season points champ Simon White took second place, while Bruno Epstein earned third.
           2A series champ Ryan Kuhn dominated; taking the victory by 8.738 seconds. Ryan Graf earned second place in a tight race with Cody Dowler – just 0.236 separated the two.
The 2B class saw season leader Michael Toner continue his winning ways, earning the championship by over 3 seconds. Fiachra Quinn ran a strong race to land second, while Karlin took third, just 0.441 seconds off Quinn’s pace.
     3A was dominated by season points leader Jonathan Trieloff, who won the finale by 7.878 seconds. Quinn Yardley grabbed second to compliment his third place result in the season’s final standings and Ronan Quinn took third.
     The 3B class featured a strong battle between season points leader Ethan Kmiecik and Alec Schimdt, with Kmiecik coming out on top. Ethan Wong, who earned second in the standings, landed in the final podium spot. 3B’s Michael Pedro was honored with the Good Sportsmanship Award.
Next up for the Juniors is the Winter/Spring League, featuring a 10-round season, starting January 22-23, running to early June.
