F1 Boston Winter/Spring Junior League Champions Crowned
Braintree, MA (June 24, 2010) – F1 Boston’s Winter/Spring Junior League wrapped up this past week-end with exciting racing and great competition. The 11-round Junior League features 8 classes to ensure each racer enjoys the highest level of competition their age, size, ability and experience permit.
In Group 1A Elite Nicholas Lascuola (202 points) won the in the finale to take the overall Championship. In 1A, Kyle Grant (204 points) took the Championship, while Jonathan Richardson won the event and claimed second for the series. 1B Austin Piepiora (217) won both the finale and series. 2A Elite’s Nikolia Gabardi (176) and Group 2A’s Christopher Kierce (179), both doubled up to win it all. 2B Austin Nelson (230) took both titles, as did Simon White (177) in 3A. In 3B Dillon Villa won the event to claim 3rd place for the series, while Owen Narrarone’s 186 points and 3rd place finish earned him the Championship.
Junior League competitors may enter as many rounds as desired – drivers competing for the season championships must attend at least 8 rounds – the best 8 rounds for each count towards the final championship positions. Points in each round are awarded to the by the top 10 finishers in descending order, with the drivers turning in the fastest lap in each race picking up an extra point. The top 6 drivers from each class will earn a spot in the Season Finale. Standing will be updated after each event and can be found at www.F1Boston.com/league_results.htm. The League is open to all drivers with F1 Boston Junior Competition Licenses that have completed an F1 Boston Junior Novice Racing Academy or Camp.
