F1 Boston Summer/Fall Junior League

 

Braintree, MA (June 17, 2010) – There’s still time to sign up for F1 Boston’s annual Summer/Fall Junior League – the first round will be held on June 26-27 at F1 Outdoors. The 11-round Junior League features 7 classes to ensure each racer enjoys the highest level of competition their age, size, ability and experience permits. Competitors enjoy a variety of race experiences, as the first 5 rounds take place on track configurations at F1 Outdoors’ 35-acre racing facility, with the final 6 rounds held on the indoor tracks at F1 Boston’s state of the art, 106,000 square foot, 2-track indoor complex.

            2010 Junior League competitors may enter as many rounds as desired – drivers competing for the season championships must attend at least 8 rounds – the best 8 rounds for each count towards the final championship positions. Points in each round are awarded to the by the top 10 finishers in descending order, with the drivers turning in the fastest lap in each race picking up an extra point. The top 6 drivers from each class will earn a spot in the Season Finale. Standing will be updated after each event and can be found at www.F1Boston.com/league_results.htm. The League is open to all drivers with F1 Boston Junior Competition License that have completed an F1 Boston Junior Novice Racing Academy or Camp.

Rounds take place every other weekend throughout the season. Groups 1A, 1A Elite, 2A Elite and 2B are held on Saturdays, starting June 26; Groups 1B, 2A, 3A and 3B take place Sundays, starting on June 27^th. The scheduled dates are:

Round 2:         July 10-11       F1 Outdoors

Round 3:         July 24-25       F1 Outdoors

Round 4:         Aug 14-15       F1 Outdoors

Round 5:         Aug 28-29       F1 Outdoors

Round 6:         Sept 4-5           F1 Indoors

Round 7:         Sept 18-19       F1 Indoors

Round 8:         Oct 16-17        F1 Indoors

Round 9:         Nov 6-7           F1 Indoors

Round 10:       Nov 20-21       F1 Indoors

Round 11:       Dec 4-5           F1 Indoors
