Teaching More Than Just Racing…
Novice or Advanced...Our Junior Racing Academies Teach Safety First
From the very beginning, F1 Boston's Junior Race School has been a tremendous success, not only teaching children how to drive and race, but also in helping to instill confidence, and build coordination, discipline and control. F1 Boston's staff ensure all participants have a great time without ever forgetting the most important element: Safety.
The F1 Boston Junior Racing Academies are 2 and 3-day courses that take place throughout the school year, where students develop skills driving with classroom and driving instruction for racing. Everything is provided - karts, racing suits, helmets and a certificate of completion. This program is designed for 7 to 17 year olds (4 foot minimum height) to give them extensive training in kart racing. Once they pass their driving evaluation, the students earn an F1 Jr. Novice License, allowing them to move into other racing programs at F1 Boston including the Junior Racing Leagues. During summer vacation, F1 Boston holds 5-day racing schools that cover the same driving and safety skills as the Junior Academies, plus additional time 'behind the wheel' honing racing skills.
Through practice and on-going competition, children continue to develop skills learned in race school. We see many also develop self-confidence, sportsmanship and responsibility, as well as a focused and positive outlook on life.
It's perfectly safe. All of our karts have electronically controlled governors that are handled by our chief instructors. Our students start at a very basic level driving a kart at a very slow speed. As they progress, speed is increased along with their skills and self-confidence. The skills and reactions that are learned will always be used, whether in the business world or on the road as an adult driver.
